Below are some writing and reading assignments. You must complete 2 writing and 2 reading assignments to be turned in on Wednesday, May 11th. All parts must be in your reading folder.
Writing Assignments:
For each writing prompt, you need to write a 6- to 8-sentence paragraph unless otherwise noted. This is a minimum; if you don't completely explain yourself in that much time, you need to write more.
1. Write a paragraph discussing your year, talking about your successes, your shortcomings, and what you look forward to next year.
2. Find a problem that involves quadrilaterals and some algebra. Write out the problem, then write in words how to solve that problem.
3. Pick a topic that we talked about this year. Write a persuasive paragraph discussing why you should or should not have to learn that particular topic in high school.
4. Write a persuasive paragraph, convincing the teacher of one thing you would like changed for next year's math class.
5. Write a poem about math. The poem needs to be at least 8 lines long. It can be in any style you want.
